Daniel Blumenthal, piano
He enjoys an international reputation as soloist, concert musician and chamber artist.  He is a laureate of several prestigious competitions including the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition of Belgium.

Daniel Blumenthal is recognized as "one the finest interpreters of Chopin's music".  He is professor in piano at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels;  guest professor at Thy Masterclass Chamber Music Festival, Denmark;  member of Thisted Master Chamber Players;  and advisor to Icons of Europe.  >> More


Craig Goodman, flute
He divides his time between concerts (e.g. Carnegie Hall), teaching and writing music.   He is professor at the National Conservatory in Strasbourg.


Justus Grimm, violoncello
He is first solo cellist at the Royal Opera, Brussels and professor at Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth.  Born in Hamburg, he made his debut as solo cellist with the State Philharmonic Orchestra of Hamburg in 1993.  He is a laureate of the German competition Deutscher Musikrat and other important competitions.



Ljiljana Jovanovic, Biljana Staffansson, sopranos

Twin-sisters, Biljana Staffansson and Ljiljana Jovanovic are coloratura sopranos based in Warsaw.  Often performing together on stages in Europe, they sing in many languages.  Their repertoire, both operas and concerts, includes Bellini, Chopin, Donizetti, Mozart and Verdi, as well as many Nordic composers.


Elisabeth Zeuthen Schneider, violin
Initially solo violinist in the Royal Danish Orchestra and coached by Isaac Stern, she has performed around the world.  She teaches at The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen.


Morten Zeuthen, cello
Earlier solo cellist at the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra, he has performed worldwide, and produced an award-winning Bach cello suite recording.  He is professor at The Royal Danish Academy of Music.

Icons of Europe normally works with established artists and occasionally with young talent.

For example, on 25 and 26 April 2003, three Chinese candidates of the Queen Elisabeth
International Music Competition (Piano) 2003 performed in Lasne with great success for specially invited audiences:
