CATHERINE AFFLECK, SOPRANO
Dramatic soprano Catherine Affleck is currently studying at The Glenn Gould School under
the tutelage of Stephanie Bogle, where she is completing an Artists Diploma in Voice
Performance. Most recently Catherine Affleck was a featured
soloist at the Mozart Unlaced Gala, in association with The Glenn Gould School, as well as
a featured soloist for The Glenn Gould Schools Vocal Showcase. She has
performed numerous roles on the operatic stage, with highlights including Cleopatra in Julius
Caesar with Summer Opera Lyric Theatre, Pamina in The Magic Flute with York
University, and Siren in Rinaldo with Opera in Concert.
Catherine Affleck has received many awards for vocal performance such as
the Sir Henry Pellatt Scholarship in voice and the Arminah Ouzounian Memorial Scholarship.
She can be seen in The Glenn Gould Schools production of Riders to the
Sea composed by Ralph Vaughan Williams as well as a featured soloist for The Mercredi
Musique Ensemble where she will be performing Faures Requiem and
Vivaldis Gloria. |
