Icons of Europe This fleur-de-lys represents the aims of Icons of Europe asbl.  The fleur-de-lys figure has been used as an ornament or emblem by almost all civilisations of the old and new worlds.

The Foundation is in charge of the conservation, administration, management, exhibition and dissemination of the artistic, historical, cultural and technological heritage of the company.

 

The arts, music, literature, as well as technology
In Spain, Telefónica cooperates with important institutions of the arts and literature such as Instituto Cervantes, Real Academia Española, Biblioteca Nacional, Biblioteca de Cataluña, Abadía de Monserrat, and Palau de la Música.

The company also sponsors exhibitions and activities involving the creation and diffusion of art.

Fundación Telefónica has taken the initiative to revitalize figurative art with particular reference to the Paris and Madrid Schools, and to build the Telefónica Art Collection with important work by Chillida, Fernández, Gris, Picasso and Tàpies.
